Alex & Lizzie’s Wedding

Wedding Design Identity (2023)

Wayfinding signage

When my brother and future sister-in-law asked me to design the “look” of their wedding, I was honored! From save the date cards to wayfinding signage, ceremony pamphlets to welcome basket stationary, I worked with the couple to create a classic, cohesive visual identity for their celebration.

Emphasizing the wedding’s location—their shared alma mater, Purdue University —Alex expressed a desire for a simple and refined look. Lizzie shared the sentiment but wanted to add personal touches when possible. To accomplish both, I often used a classic black and white palette and serif fonts to keep an overall feel of sophistication and elegance. In the save the date cards, I included elements that reflected Lizzie’s chosen flowers, baby’s breath, and the sage green of her bridesmaid dresses. Lastly, the wedding’s welcome baskets included thank you notes embellished with a silhouette of their beloved (and color-coordinating, might I add) black labrador, Harper.
